About

I Love Football…

My love affair with Football began at an early age. Sundays revolved around football in my house and this beautiful game was an integral part of the bond that my family shared.

My earliest football memories involved witnessing the 1985 Bears and their Super Bowl Shuffle and facing my first real disappointment as I rooted for the 1986 Browns as they suffered a heartbreaking loss to John Elway and “The Drive” in the AFC Championship. It was almost as if I was destined to hate the Broncos.

However, it was a November Monday Night in 1987 that would forever shape my football life as I found my way to the Silver and Black…

Growing up in Charleston, SC, there was no home team to root for. My parents had lived on the West Coast prior to moving to Charleston…Dad was a Chargers fan and Mom loved the Raiders.

In a game that has been dubbed as Bo v The Boz, the Raiders played the Seahawks on Monday Night Football. This was my first chance to watch Bo Jackson don the Silver and Black live and he absolutely dominated. The moment that Bo went flying 91 yards down the sidelines, through the endzone and straight into the tunnel of the King Dome followed by half the team, I was hooked. I was Raider Nation 4 Life!

My love of football is all encompassing. I love the history and the evolution of the game over the years. I’m obsessed with Fantasy Football. And of course…I love my Raiders.
